Our Pastor

Brother R.C. Wetzel serves as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas, where he counts it a joy to minister to a loving church family and a growing community. His heart is to preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, compassion, and conviction. He is committed to expository preaching and teaching, helping believers understand the Scriptures in their context and apply them in their daily walk with Christ.

Brother R.C.’s educational background reflects a deep commitment to theological study and pastoral preparation. He holds a Master of Theology (Th.M.), and he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) through Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia. His academic training strengthens his dedication to doctrinal precision, careful exposition, and Christ-centered ministry.

From the pulpit to the classroom, Brother R.C.’s desire is to guide God’s people toward spiritual maturity and a deeper love for the Lord. He enjoys walking the church through the great narratives of Scripture and showing how each passage fits into God’s unfolding plan of redemption. He is currently leading Faith Baptist into the first year of a six‑year Through the Bible odyssey during the Sunday evening service — a comprehensive journey designed to deepen biblical understanding, strengthen spiritual growth, and cultivate personal application throughout the entire congregation.

Beyond preaching, Brother R.C. is actively involved in the day-to-day life of the church. He oversees ministries, discipleship efforts, and outreach opportunities, always seeking practical ways to encourage and equip the families of Faith Baptist Church. His leadership is marked by pastoral warmth, steady guidance, and a genuine desire to help people grow in their relationship with the Lord.
